Configuration sequence

Follow these steps once.

  1. 01

    Join setup Wi-Fi

On your phone or computer, join the Wi-Fi network named CNCDOCK-SETUP.

  2. 02

    Open the setup page

Open a web browser and go to 192.168.4.1.

  3. 03

    Open Settings

Click Settings in the CNC Dock browser interface.

  4. 04

    Find device and network settings

    Scroll down to Device/Network Settings.

  5. 05

    Name the device

Give CNC Dock a unique, machine-specific name. For example: VF2SS. This name generates the unique web address for accessing the device. You must ensure you do not name two devices exactly the same, as this will cause issues.

  6. 06

    Connect to shop Wi-Fi

Select your Wi-Fi network from the drop-down menu and enter its password.

  7. 07

    Save and reboot

At the bottom of the page, click Save and Reboot.

  8. 08

    Open your local address

After CNC Dock reboots, the LCD should show your Wi-Fi network and a unique local address next to GO TO:. Open that local address in a web browser.

  9. 09

    Configure USB volume

Click Settings at the top of the page, then select the largest USB volume your machine supports. Click Format/Select USB Size.

  10. 10

    You are all set

Open a web browser and enter your local address. You can find this address on the device next to GO TO:. It should be the machine name you assigned with .local at the end. For example: VF2SS.local. Bookmark your unique local web address in your preferred browser for quick access to CNC Dock and your files.
